The Benefits of Air Drying your Clothes I have been taught my whole life to air dry my clothes. My grandmother did it and so did my mom. When I get to college I was surprised that I was one of the only people who actually did. In today’s fast-paced world, air drying clothes may seem like an outdated practice, but it offers surprising benefits that go beyond nostalgia. By simply hanging your clothes on a line or drying rack, you can reduce your energy consumption. Beyond its environmental advantages, air drying is gentler on your clothing. High heat and tumbling in a dryer can weaken fabrics, fade colors, and cause shrinkage. By letting your clothes dry naturally, you extend their lifespan, keeping them looking newer and reducing the frequency of replacements. Delicate fabrics like wool, silk, or lace particularly benefit from this method, retaining their integrity and beauty. For people invested in maintaining a quality wardrobe, this method is a simple yet impactful solution. Las...

Book 2 Post 2

For my second book, I recently read Feel Good Productivity: How To Do More of What Matters to You by Ali Abdaal. I'm intrigued by his approach, which promises to combine the toughness of tradition with a focus on personal happiness. This differs from most productivity books that can feel mechanical without considering individual well-being. Overall, I found the book inspiring and easy to understand. Abdaal’s writing style is relatable and engaging, which made his insights feel applicable. He moves beyond traditional goal-setting and time management strategies to emphasize working on tasks that align with one’s core values and personal goals. Rather than just promoting a high-output lifestyle, he encourages readers to prioritize well-being and avoid burning out. One of my favorite aspects was his idea of “anti-productivity” days, where taking breaks and slowing down are framed as essential for long-term effectiveness. The main takeaway for me was that productivity can and should be...

Book 2 Post 1

For my second book, I've chosen Feel Good Productivity: How To Do More of What Matters to You by Ali Abdaal. I'm intrigued by his approach, which promises to combine the toughness of tradition with a focus on personal happiness. This differs from most productivity books that can feel mechanical without considering individual well-being. What drew me to this book is its emphasis on “feel-good” productivity. I’m interested in learning how to prioritize tasks that genuinely matter to me, rather than just increasing my output everyday. Abdaal's massive following and success in the productivity space suggest he offers practical, impactful advice, and I am very eager to see how his methods could help potentially reshape my approach to work and life. By exploring what it means to be both productive and content, I hope to be able to gain tools for managing my time and energy in a way that gives me a better sense of balance. So far, I appreciate Abdaal’s relatable tone and practica...

Alex Balian Packers For my entire life, whenever I am asked which football team I support I proudly say the Green Bay Packers. They then ask me why are you a Packers fan, that makes no sense you are from Los Angeles. Well Los Angeles had no football team when I was growing up so let me give you the reason. The Green Bay Packers, also known as the "Packers," are one of the most storied franchises in NFL history. Founded in 1919, the team is unique as it’s the only publicly owned, non-profit major professional sports team in the United States. This community ownership has forged an unbreakable bond between the team and its fans, who have consistently supported the Packers through thick and thin. Lambeau Field (the best stadium in America),is  the team's home stadium. It is nicknamed the "frozen tundra" due to how cold and icy it gets in the winter since it is in Wisconsin. The crowds create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere on game days. Throughout the years, the Packers...
